Removal of nose bleeds

Epistaxis (nosebleeds) proves to be unpleasant and bothersome, especially if it occurs frequently and repeatedly and its origin is unknown. 

We will get to the bottom of the problem with you, diagnose the cause of the bleeding and suggest a suitable method to eliminate it.

  • We will find out the origin of the bleeding
  • We rule out if it is a manifestation of another more serious disease
  • Select the most appropriate method of removing the epistaxis from the possible methods
  • Perform the procedure under local anaesthesia
  • Recommend appropriate follow-up care

Viral infections of the upper respiratory tract, post-traumatic conditions, high blood pressure and the use of blood-thinning drugs, all these and other causes are behind nosebleeds. We will perform a diagnosis that will reveal the origin of the bleeding.

We will suggest a suitable method of its removal, most often bipolar radiofrequency electrocoagulation of the blood vessels in front of the nasal septum or vaporization (evaporation) of these blood vessels by laser.

Aftercare in the form of rinsing the nasal cavity with products containing sea water is recommended.
