MUDr. Tereza Šťastná
MUDr. Tereza Št'astná graduated from the 1st Faculty of Medicine of Charles University in Prague. During her studies she completed her internship at the University Hospital in Geneva.
After graduation in 2016, she first worked in the internal department of a small district hospital, where she encountered a very wide range of patients, both inpatients and outpatients, including emergency admissions.
After completing her internal medicine residency, she joined the cardiology department of the Na Homolce Hospital, where she again worked with inpatients and outpatients and participated in a number of scientific studies. She cared for patients with ischemic heart disease, hypertension, valvular defects, cardiomyopathies, myocarditis and other heart diseases, but mostly focused on patients with arrhythmias, including genetically determined syndromes.
She successfully passed her board certification in cardiology in 2022.
She is a member of the Czech Society of Cardiology, the Czech Heart Rhythm Association and the Czech Association of Ambulatory Cardiologists.
In addition to medicine, she is also a yoga instructor with international certification.
She also has a special empathy for patients because she herself is being treated for a rare heart disease. She has also published a collection of poetry on this topic, On the Edge of Finality.
