Tetanus, smallpox, measles - blood test for antibodies
The resurgence of these diseases is mainly due to a lack of vaccination coverage in children and declining antibody levels in the vaccinated population. Not sure when you were last vaccinated or if you were ever vaccinated against tetanus, smallpox and measles? An antibody test will show you whether your vaccination is effective or whether you should be re-vaccinated.
The result of the test will tell you whether you have:
- VZV IgG antibodies (chickenpox and shingles)
- IgG antibodies (measles, tetanus)
