Proctology
Hemorrhoids and other proctological problems are diseases that are unpleasant to talk about. However, it is much worse to put off seeing a doctor even though you have been experiencing symptoms for some time. At Vasmedic, we will examine you discreetly and gently and suggest adequate treatment. Don't hesitate to make an appointment as soon as possible to prevent a more serious diagnosis.
ReservationWhat can we solve?
A proctological examination is a basic examination of the rectal area. It starts with a detailed analysis of the difficulties and associated circumstances of the disease, including family or work load. Based on this input, the doctor then determines the possible causes of the difficulties and moves on to the examination itself, which takes place per rectum. He will then suggest the appropriate treatment.
Methods of treatment
The most common procedures performed at our clinic include minimally invasive laser surgery for hemorrhoids, treatment of skin tags and fissures. Should an examination reveal a cancer, we will recommend the most appropriate treatment.
Hemorrhoids, which are among the most common proctological problems, are veins in the rectal area. If they start to enlarge, they can cause unpleasant problems because a lot of pressure is exerted, which prevents the blood from returning to the circulation. The cause can be pregnancy, being overweight, sedentary work, chronic diarrhoea, chronic constipation or perhaps overexertion in sport.
Difficulties usually manifest as soreness and itching in the rectal area, bleeding, mucus discharge. If left untreated for a long time, the symptoms can lead to rectal cancer. If you suspect a problem in the rectal area, don't delay your examination and book an appointment at Vasmedic!
