MUDr. Pavel Kupka

Doctor with many years of experience, graduate of the J.E. Purkyně Military Medical Academy in Hradec Králové and the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Hradec Králové. He is the head of the Emergency Department at the Central Military Hospital (ÚVN-VFN) in Prague. Since 2004, he has been the head of the proctology clinic at the Surgical Clinic of the Central Military Hospital in Prague.

After graduating from the Military Medical Academy JEP and the Faculty of Medicine of Charles University in Hradec Králové in 1995, he continued his postgraduate studies there. In 1998, he passed the certificate in general medicine and started his professional career as a general practitioner at the Garrison Infirmary in Prague.

In 2001 he joined the Surgical Clinic of the University Hospital in Prague. In 2009 he passed the certificate in surgery and until 2011 he worked at the Surgical Clinic of the University Hospital Prague. From 2001 to 2009, first as a secondary and senior physician, since 2009 as deputy head for military activities. Since 2012 he has been the head of the Emergency Department of the ÚVN Prague.

He participated as a surgeon in military missions in Afghanistan (2013) and Iraq (2005).

  • Member of the Committee of the Section of Emergency Receiving (Society of Emergency and Disaster Medicine of the ČLS JEP)
